The ADAT-XT is a multitrack digital audio recorder that records eight tracks of 1 6-bit linear digital audio onto standard S-VHS cassettes. It utilizes 1 8-bit, 128 times oversampling A-D converters for professional audio fidelity, while the 20-bit 8 times oversampling D-A converters provide excellent phase response, flat frequency spectrum (20Hz to 20kHz +/- 0.5dB) and extremely low distortion, even at low amplitudes.
