GearSource finalized a complete transformation of its business model in 2020, converting to a unique and highly scalable, global marketplace platform. The company has staff in 5 countries, with 70% of transactions on the platform taking place between buyers and sellers outside N America.
To continue its growth and focus on sellers, GearSource announces the addition of a well known industry pro, Brad Nelms. In his new role, Brad will manage the company’s team to oversee global Sellers and Listings acquisition as the company scales its growing marketplace platform. He is based in Las Vegas, but will spend quality time in front of the company’s largest and most important selling partners, worldwide. “While most companies are uber focused on sales, we are far more interested in becoming remarkable partners to our sellers” says GearSource CEO and Founder, Marcel Fairbairn. “If we can manage the onboarding process, bringing in great sellers and awesome gear, the buyers will find us quite easily. So it is that process, and those businesses, where Brad will be focusing most of his efforts”.
Still a young man by industry standards, Brad has already gained experience with many great companies including TLS, 4Wall, VER, PRG and Solotech. He also worked with the N.A. distributor for MA Lighting, Ayrton, and other great brands, ACT Lighting, prior to COVID changing his trajectory.
Brad and Marcel worked closely together to launch We Make Events in North America and Brad continues to lead that organization today. “The mission of WME is important and serves a need.
